...The Spanish are really far west in their timezone. This translates into late mornings, and late sunsets. Often we were walking down the beach about a lazy 10am or so and we were the only people on the beach. We cooked dinner every night... no Spanish restaurants are open before about 830pm. It's really like three hours of jetlag, but with the kids, the benefit of keeping them on a normal schedule far outweighed the potential to eat dinner at 10pm...
Here's some picture highlights, videos to come later:
Sydney enjoys sand-free beach toys in the backyard.
Ben & Jaime at the boardwalk... props to Nathan for not knocking the camera off the napkin holder while the timer ran.
Jaime and the kiddos at the beach...
Nathan doing a "Pirate Face" ... the boat pictured was a joint collaboration between Nathan and Ben. (Lego folks, feel free to use the design free of royalty requirements, we would like to recommend calling it, the SS Team Freeborn).
Ben acts on Nathan's direction to "You be a shark, and we will be in the boat and you will say 'DAAAH' when we net you."
