Jackie just arrived from Cincinnati. She arrived after the worst travel experience anyone has had through Japan. After the initial excitment of a 30 minute early arrival into Narita, her aircraft sat on the runway for FOUR hours! There was a massive snowstorm at Tokyo that shut the airfield down. (Some reports in the airport had the snowfall as high as 1/2 inch! That's not a typo... 50% of one inch.) By the time she had got off the airplane, the last train had left stranding her in Narita for the night. The topper there: while she was sitting on the runway, other flights were being canceled whose passengers were booking up all the area hotels. So Jackie had the dubious privledge of spending the night in the Narita airport. She got on the first train up to Misawa this morning, and finally arrived at our house after a crushing 38 hour itenerary.

Jackie!!! Only you could endure such an experience and still be smiling! :-) We miss you!! But you look great with your grandson in your arms!
