On our way from Ho Chi Minh City to Coco Beach Resort (near Phan Thiet and Mui Ne). The roads were great, much better than Japan. They were flat and straight and actually went from one place to another rather than meandering. It was interesting though, lots of these small, one-room homes/stores along the road that were very basic. Every now and then we'd pass a government building or church which were very elaborate and well kept up.
